Ribosomes are made of
two
parts or subunits:

large
subunit
and
small subunit

The large and small subunit
combine.

these ribosomes are "translators" -> they
translate
the
protein-coding genes
in
mRNA
into
proteins

Think of ribosomes as translators who make an English speaker understand Chinese!
REPLICATION
Why Does DNA have to replicate?
Mitosis is how cells make new cells
Because all cells come from pre-existing cells the DNA must
replicate
(make copies)
for cells to divide.

The DNA is unzipped by RNA polymerase

How is this different from DNA replication?
RNA is a
single strand
in which
Uracil
pairs with Adenine
(A + U)
instead of Thymine
(A + T)
